Okay, I tried. I really did. But I've watched this, like, three times over the past six months and I can't make myself write anything about it, so moving on!

Ok, so did Maurice just take his narcissism to such extremes that it weirded out even him? Or was he forced to confront others' opinions of his narcissism, seeing as how they were, um, staring him in the face? (By the way, the fact that the wax figure has so much vanity-distortion applied to it as to be uncannily un-Maurice is just perfect.)

And poor Ed, wanting a Maurice of his very own that maybe he could control just a little bit, but you know, not in a creepy way, just it wouldn't argue with him so much, and....

"STOP TALKING TO IT!!" Lolz!

On the Chris front, I wonder where in the history of "Everyone should take statin drugs! Like candy! Nothing could ever go wrong with this devious pharmaceutical plan!!" this particular plot lies.... The lack of side effects or social commentary on the drugs themselves is startling from a 2014 viewpoint.

While I have zero sympathy for Chris's usual "WOOOOO MOTORCYCLLLLLES!!! BEING INCHES FROM FIERY OBLIVION IS FUNNNNNN!!!" opinions... Chris without metaphysical thrill-seeking behavior is a bit sad.

Speaking of sad, being a dentist and having everyone lie to you all the time (about things that clearly are not true! Nobody flosses twice a day!) must give you a discouraging picture of humanity. I like the end message of, "Hold on, don't panic, how about you just try taking some small steps to take care of yourself? Maybe things will turn out okay?" And that dear dentist, so giddy about teeth, so excited to get a blank, frank slate.

I think maybe yes?

Or was he forced to confront others' opinions of his narcissism, seeing as how they were, um, staring him in the face?

Oh, come on, he would never be that aware.

And poor Ed, wanting a Maurice of his very own that maybe he could control just a little bit, but you know, not in a creepy way, just it wouldn't argue with him so much, and....

Hehehe. Ed: Not A Serial Killer, No, Really, I'm Just Sharpening These Knives For, Um, Perfectly Innocent Knife-Throwing!

Didn't he have high blood pressure, though? Statins are for cholesterol.

He needs his edge! (Which is much more edge-like than Joel's alleged edge from the next episode, which is more of a shim.)

And that dear dentist, so giddy about teeth, so excited to get a blank, frank slate.

So cute.

Lol, right, this is Maurice.

Hehehe. Ed: Not A Serial Killer, No, Really, I'm Just Sharpening These Knives For, Um, Perfectly Innocent Knife-Throwing!

I Only Want This Wax Replica Of You In My Attic Because I Am A Patron Of The Arts!

Didn't he have high blood pressure, though? Statins are for cholesterol.

Still, "don't question these magic pills, just take them forever because pharmaceutical companies love you" seems like an odd road for Chris to take. Maybe the doubt will come later....

Lol, everybody has their own scale.

Yeah, I think this was a few years before the "we are overdrugged!!!" backlash started. Perhaps Chris thinks of it as, "Well, I took a lot of substances in my recent past, what's one more..."
